We are delighted to invite you to hear the much sought after presenter Assoc. Prof. Christine Courtois. She is clinical director of The Centre: Post-traumatic Disorders Program, The Psychiatric Institute of Washington and author of ground-breaking books on sexual abuse and a special edition in 2005 – with Prof. Bessel van der Kolk – of the Journal of Traumatic Stress Studies dealing with Disorders of Extreme Stress Not Otherwise Specified. She has received numerous prestigious awards and professional recognition in the field.
Christine's depth of understanding of complex issues and her capacity to skilfully communicate with both novice and experienced clinicians makes her a trainer not to be missed. She will present cutting edge clinical and research material with a focus on practical application for therapy. Christine's easy manner, sensitivity, insight and extensive experience provide the ingredients for an outstanding training.
Her work as a psychologist in the early days of research into, and treatment for, sexual abuse made her a pioneer that reached professionals and survivors in a way that made a positive and substantial difference. She has been heavily involved in the development of understanding and treatment for trauma, PSTD and dissociative disorders over several decades.
We are most privileged to offer you this experience and it is with great pleasure that The Delphi Centre in collaboration with The Cannan Institute and the Trauma and Dissociation Unit, Belmont Hospital, Qld. present Christine in our continued commitment to provide best practice professional development training.
We look forward to sharing another outstanding conference program with you!
