Invitation

The phenomenal success of the landmark international conference on attachment and traumatic dissociation held last September in Melbourne left delegates eager for more. To meet this demand The Delphi Centre in collaboration with The Cannan Institute and the Trauma and Dissociation Unit, Belmont Hospital , Qld. continue in the commitment to work together to provide best practice professional development training.

Dr John Briere is no stranger to Australia. John's masterful ability to combine solid, practical, non-pathologizing, effective clinical interventions with the latest research and academic information, make him one of the world's premier speakers and educators. His insight, warmth, humanity and respect for the role of both therapist and client earn John a keen and ready audience.

Regardless of the model within which clients/patients are conceptualized, in the end, what makes a meaningful difference is the integrity, compassion and ability to help a person in need find and enhance his or her resilience and resources.

These intensive 2-day conference/workshops provide the opportunity for detailed exploration of effective interventions with:

· depression and other mood disorders
· anxiety disorders
· personality disorders
· schizophrenia and psychosis
· eating and somatoform disorders
· substance abuse
· PTSD and trauma
· dissociative disorders
· child abuse and neglect
· dysfunctional families
· individuals struggling with interpersonal relationships and fulfilment

In addition to our sponsors, we warmly thank The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the Association of Psychiatrists in Training (APT) and the College of Psychological Medicine for their help and support.

We look forward to sharing another outstanding conference program with you!
