Dr. Marlene Hunter M.D. - CANADA
Dr Marlene Hunter is a psychotherapist
in Victoria, British Columbia (Canada) who has 25 years'
experience working with dissociative and traumatized
patients. She recognized her first dissociative patient
(then called "Multiple Personality Disorder")
in 1977 when she was still in full-time Family Practice.
Since then she has gone on to become an international
presenter on the pain and the rewards of working with
traumatized patients.
She is a Fellow and Past President
of the International Society for the Study of Dissociation,
a Fellow and Past President of the American Society
of Clinical Hypnosis, and a Past President of the B.C.
College of Family Physicians. For many years she was
an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of
Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia,
teaching family dynamics and the clinical uses of hypnosis
in medicine, dentistry and psychology.
