Dr Jeffrey Masson - NEW ZEALAND - (to be confirmed)

Dr Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson was trained as a Freudian psychoanalyst in Toronto. For a while Jeffrey was the director of the Freud Archives (London and the Library of Congress). But when he found material in the archives confirming the reality of child sexual abuse in Freud's time, he was fired.

He is the author of many books about psychoanalysis, psychiatry and psychology, notably: The Assault on Truth; Against Therapy; Final Analysis; A Dark Science; the Complete Letters between Freud and Fliess. More recently he has written a series of books about the emotional lives of animals: When Elephants Weep; Dogs Never Lie About Love; The Emperor's Embrace and The Nine Emotional Lives of Cats. He lives with his wife, two sons, and five cats on a beach outside Auckland.
