Dr. Colin Ross M.D. - USA

Dr Colin Ross is an internationally renowned clinician, researcher, author and lecturer in the field of traumatic stress and trauma related disorders. He is the founder and President of the Colin A. Ross Institute for Psychological Trauma.

Dr. Ross provides treatment for patients with trauma related disorders and symptoms. This would include the following: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Borderline Personality Disorder, Addictive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The symptoms treated and the admission criteria are: suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, self-destructive and addictive behaviors, and inability to function. Dr. Ross is the Executive Medical Director of three programs located at Timberlawn Mental Health System in Dallas, Texas, Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Del Amo Hospital in Torrance, California.

Colin has authored over 100 professional papers and books. He has reviewed for numerous professional journals, and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the International Society for the Study of Traumatic Stress.

Colin has recently completed his ninth book entitled The Trauma Model: A Solution to the Problem of Comorbidity in Psychiatry. This book will be the first of its kind to explain treatment and clinical implications for the comorbid client. BLUEBIRD: Deliberate Creation of Multiple Personality by Psychiatrists is Dr. Ross' tenth book and is also now available.
