Having had the privilege of seeing Dr Janina Fisher present in the USA, we are truly thrilled to have the honour of bringing her to Australia.
Janina is an outstanding presenter. She is among those at the forefront of cutting edge therapy founded in a profound appreciation of psychoneurobiology, attachment theory and trauma dynamics. She integrates newer treatment paradigms into traditional therapeutic modalities.
Janina is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Instructor at the Trauma Center, an outpatient clinic and research center founded by Bessel van der Kolk and has collaborated, published and presented internationally with other leading lights such as Drs Ellert Nijenhuis, Allan Schore, Onno van der Hart, and also the founder of “Sensorimotor Psychotherapy” Pat Odgen, to name but a few.
Successful therapy with complex trauma highlights the need for greater understanding and skill with relational issues, effective work with somatization and sensorimotor techniques, mindfulness practices and strategies for emotional mastery as well as cognitive.
It is with great pleasure that The Delphi Centrein collaboration with The Cannan Institute and the Trauma and Dissociation Unit, BelmontHospital, Qld. present Janina in our continued commitment to provide best practice professional development training.
